Kumho
Kumho tires was established in 1960 in Korea but started selling in the United States in 1988. Their popularity rapidly grew due to their affordability especially to the motorsport competitions in the grassroots such as autocross and roads racing. There are an entire line of Kumho tires for different types of cars including pick-up trucks, SUVs and passenger vehicles.
In the last fifteen years or so, Kumho has been largely involved in the motorsport industry and and this has places the company as one of the largest rally and race tires suppliers. The tires’ level of performance is also something every established brand would be worried of in terms of competition.
The Kumho Tires Technical Center develops and tests the company’s tires used for Formula 3. These tires are produced in a special factory at Gwangiu, Korea. Motorsport tires are produced at Bridgnorth in the United Kingdom and supplies to the entire Europe. Some of the renowned Kumho tire brands include Kumho 722, Eco Solus HM KR22, Ecsta AST, Ecsta DX Aroma, Power Star and Radial 798 Plus among others.
