The Firestone Tire and Rubber company is a very old and reputed company, famous for manufacturing tires. They have been manufacturing tires since 1900. After the founder of the company struck a friendship with Henry Ford, the company became an original equipment supplier for Ford automobiles. In 1988, Firestone was sold to Japanese company, Bridgestone.Corporation. It was renamed Bridgestone/Firestone Inc. in America and they together became the world’s largest tire and rubber company.
